The Chill
The Chill is a "Rhythm
Section" made up of some of the best musicians in the world.
The name chill denotes the fact that the group is way cool, and
versed in all styles of music.Every member of the chill is a recording
artist in his own right, and joined me in a collaboration of good
music.
Ja Ja
My buddy Jardine Powell, known to everyone as simply JaJa, who passed away
late last year, was one of the finest bassist's in the world.
A Native New Yorker, he studied bass at the Berklee School of
Music in Boston, and the Manus School of Music in New York. He
Performed with names like,
James Brown ,Wilson
Pickett, Ike and Tina & Tribe.

Z'andre
Z'andre Yarborough is one of
the hottest guitarists in Japan, if not the world. He's Performed
with all of the major Japanese recording artists, and combines
a style perfect for a group like Shampén and the Chill.
A dynamic rhythmic feel, coupled with a strong rock and blues
feel, equals pure dynamite!

Marvin
"Marvelous"
Marvin Baker, a native of Motown, is one of the last pure drummers
in the world,
comfortable with all
styles of music from Rock to Jazz. Timing so perfect, that's it's
hard to tell his playing
in the studio, from a rhythm machine!
He's an accomplished
vocalist,
who can play and sing without
losing a beat. He's
performed with many great artists, such as,
John Luc Ponti, Anita
Baker, Real Gold just to name a few.
